THIS IS My House viewers played detective while watching the BBC show and quickly spied an actress on the programme.
Fans rushed to point out that it was in fact a former Coronation Street star pretending to be one of the owners.
Wednesday night’s show saw a celebrity panel trying to guess which Gemma Whitehouse the Farnham house belonged to.
But as the likes of Judi Love, Emily Atack, Jamali Maddix, Bill Bailey and Jimmy Carr tried to choose from Gemma 1, 2, 3 and 4, viewers were already way ahead.
One tweeted: “Gemma 3 looks so familiar, I feel like I’ve seen her on TV before🤔 #thisismyhouse”.
A second pondered: “I think I recognise Gemma 3 which makes me think she must have been on a TV show, but she otherwise seems the most convincing one of the four #ThisIsMyHouse”
Another commented: “Why does Gemma 3 seem familiar?! #thisismyhouse,” before they sussed: “I believe Gemma 3 is an actress #thisismyhouse”.
And the blonde pretending to be a divorcee living with her new partner is Surrey was in fact Scottish actress Reanne Farley.
She attempted to throw fans by disguising her accent, which even surprised host Stacey Dooley when she revealed her true colours.
With a variety of TV credits to her name, Reanne has had roles in Father Brown, Holby City and Doctors.
In 2019 she played Karen in Emmerdale, and she previously starred as Jacqui Ainsworth in Coronation Street.
Jacqui’s storyline saw her become the surrogate mother to Peter Barlow and Toyah Battersby’s failed IVF attempt.
But on This Is My House, the show definitely got their money’s worth as Reanne definitely had some viewers fooled and even some of the panel.
And the real Gemma also saw her as a threat, eliminating her before the final choice was made.
“Get Gemma 3 a BAFTA! Holy moly that was impressive #thisismyhouse,” said one fan.
The new BBC One show is slowly winning over viewers after the first episode was branded “the worst TV they’d seen in ages“.
But after giving it another shot, last week’s programme managed to persuade viewers into changing their opinion.
After the episode aired, one fan tweeted: “I was sceptical about #thisismyhouse last week but got well into it tonight.”
Another admitted: “Embarrassed to admit I’m fully invested in #thisismyhouse.”
A third even wrote: “I really love this show, an amazing concept and hope they do another series.”
