Crystal Palace have the lead at half-time against Brighton at Amex Stadium.

Palace opened the scoring during a rather dull first half after 28 minutes with Jean-Philippe Mateta scoring his first ever goal for the club in style.

Jordan Ayew played the ball down the right wing and passed it to Mateta who beat Robert Sanchez with a stunning back-heel.

Brighton were more comfortable on the ball throughout the first 45 minutes but lacked a final pass that would break the lines of Palace, who continue to sit back
