An Amazon driver, 21, has been killed in a collision while delivering parcels in Doncaster, police have said.

The man, who has not yet been named, was critically injured in the crash with an orange Nissan Note, around 2pm on Wednesday, February 17. He was taken to hospital after the incident, but died on Sunday night.

The driver of the other vehicle stopped at the scene, near Barnby Dun Road and Clay Lane, and has been helping police with their investigation.

Detectives are now appealing for any witnesses from the area or motorists with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: ‘We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw either party prior to the incident, to get in touch.

‘Were you walking in Clay Lane or crossing the road at the time of the collision? Did you see what happened? If you can help, please get in touch. We are also keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage.’
